Daron Henson grew up in the Lake Norman/North Mecklenburg area where he graduated from North Mecklenburg in 1995. He joined the United States Air Force in 1996. He’s the son and brother of public servants—his father and two older brothers are retired Charlotte fire fighters and another brother is a retired  Charlottte/Mecklenburg Sheriff’s deputy.

Daron joined the United Staes Air Force in 1996 and served eight years active duty. After the Air Force, he spent 15 years as a Guardsman Reservist with the New York Air National Guard and USAF Reserves. He currently has served for 23 years as Intelligence Officer and IT specialist in multiple roles starting in engineering positions and now in account executive position covering Federal government.

Daron is a father of three children; a 21-year-old son and 12-year-old twins (son and daughter).
